Become a member of the Australian Institute of International Affairs. Membership is open to any Australian resident, to corporate bodies, diplomatic representatives, schools and those studying in Australia. |

Annual membership entitles members to the following:

Attendance at Institute functions at a reduced rate

A convivial period to converse with people who are interested in international affairs
before and after the speaking engagement

Opportunity to meet and learn from speakers who are distinguished in their field

Newsletters with details of the regular speakers' program

Opportunity to participate in periodic overseas study tours, which include introductions to
trade and diplomatic personnel
- Receipt of the quarterly Australian Journal of International Affairs (spouse
members not included) and The Diplomat magazine.

Notes
- If you do not have a proposer and/or seconder for new membership, please contact the Executive Officer to arrange your membership.
- Membership subscriptions are due on July 1 each year, except Students and School
Memberships which are due on January 1.
- Members joining between January 1 and March 31 pay half annual subscription as it is only
valid until the end of that financial year; after
April 1 the subscription is valid for the next
financial year.
- Schools and students joining between July 1 and September 30 pay half annual
subscription: after October 1 subscription is valid for the next calendar year.
- Members receive a monthly "mailout" including flyers for upcoming events and newsletters.
Mailouts may be received via email (free with membership), or by post mail at an extra charge
of $10.00
- All rates are GST inclusive. (ABN 42 727 001 279)
Example:
A secondary school applies for membership on or after July
1, 2005. Therefore the membership
is valid until June 30, 2006. The school chooses to receive its correspondence
via post mail.
The price structure would be:
$121.00 School Membership rates + $10.00 Postage Fee
= $131.00
